Meet Ricardo Anderson

Dr. Ricardo Anderson is a robotics enthusiast who has mentored FTC teams in Jamaica since 2009. He mentored a team to winning the Inspire Award in NYC in 2012, and subsequently winning a Judges award at the World Championships in the same year. He remains excited and committed to the development of STEM education across Jamaica. Dr. Anderson has served as co-tournament director for the FIRST Tech Challenge Jamaica Championship since inception in 2019 and continues to assist in building capacity of schools to introduce robotics programmes. Dr. Anderson is a computer scientist who currently does research in Machine Learning & lectures computing courses at the University of the West Indies.
